DA: Zuma scrap VIP Jet and show leadership

In a statement issued on Sunday, the Democratic Alliance says, President Jacob Zuma should show leadership, and publicly insist that the R4 billion VIP Jet be scrapped.

We think it is a very difficult economic time to even consider at this stage to procure a smart Jet of that nature for R4 billion rand plus we think it is out of touch with what South African’s require on the ground and we believe that President should rather follow the example set by Deputy President that if he’s plane is not good enough for him, then to use commercial airline.”
