The African Christian Democratic Party in the Western Cape has called for Mayoral Committee Member for Safety and Security JP Smith to resign.

ACDP Provincial Leader Ferlon Christians said the City of Cape Town needs leaders who can lead and not hide when its time to step up to the plate and abandon their responsibility.

Christians said JP Smith should train the law enforcement officials on how to work with vulnerable people.

Christians added that they will never forget the damage that Cape Town went through when City Officials manhandled a blind Guitarist.

He also added that now again vagrants that are vulnerable are manhandled by Law Enforcement Officials.
