The Standing Committee on Public Accounts is this week conducting oversight visits to the Kimberley Mental Health facility and to Zola Hospital in Soweto.

Committee Chairperson Themba Godi said the visit is to assess progress made, as well as challenges encountered since the last engagements in October 2012.

Godi said this visit aims to put pressure on the department of heath in the North West and Gauteng to complete this project.

He added that the project is long overdue and it has led to huge financial escalation.
