The Congress of South African Trade Union in the North West said it is shocked on the attack on a community member in the Wonderkop area over the weekend.

Cosatu Provincial Spokesperson Solly Phetoe said it is disappointing that these attacks have been going on for almost a year, and there is nothing that the state security forces have done to make sure that the situation in the area is normalises.

Phetoe said what is happening there is unacceptable and that they expected that the Marikana Commission of Inquiry, which was established by the President, should have by now concluded its work and released a report.

“Continuation of the Commission will reopen the wounds of the victims, the widows, the orphans that lost their fathers and everyone that lost their loved ones” Phetoe added.
