40 injured in Western Cape accident and 18 further in Pietermaritzburg.

Two buses collided this morning on the N2 near the Jan Smuts in the Western Cape. Up to 40 people were reported injured following the incident. Russell Merring, ER24 spokesperson gives more information:

“When ER paramedics arrived on the scene they discovered two buses had blocked the highway, some of the occupants were injured and walking around the scene. Roughly 40 people had sustained minor to moderate injuries”


Meanwhile over in Pietermaritzburg 18 children were left injured this morning after a bakkie appeared to have lost control on a corner and left the road. The driver of the vehicle in which the children were travelling had left the scene.
