The Congress of the People Youth Movement have characterized last weeks events in the #feesmustfall campaign as a ‘marginal success’. Student protests swept the country last week resulted in Jacob Zuma announcing a zero % fee increase on Friday. However COPE spokesperson Tyson Ndou spoke to Bush Radio and told us that the there is still a lot to do in the battle for free education for all:

“We were fighting for free education, NSFAS is still not giving enough funds and therefore we are saying we want free education saying that fees are not going to increase, they must also make sure that they decrease fee to a point where NSFAS is going to be able to pay”
