The western cape MEC of health
Nomafrench Mbombo will today visit the Pink Drive Mobile Breast Clinic at Mitchells
Plain Hospital to commemorate Breast Cancer Awareness month.
The MEC will address those
living with breast cancer as well as relatives who have lost loved ones.
Ministerial spokesperson
Colleen smart explained that the MEC will also address woman on the importance
of early detection, as well as the services available at the facilities.
“We want to create awareness because
breast cancer is the most common cancer amongst woman in South Africa.” Smart
said.
Breast cancer is one of the
leading causes of death amongst women and it is a highly relevant diseases
Smart concluded.
