Accident round up

On Monday the 26th again saw fatalities on our roads. Two accidents occurred in KwaZulu Natal. Which again saw fatalities on our roads.

In the first a man lost his life after a bakkie and a car collided on Albert Road in Newcastle.

ER24 spokesperson Russell Meiring reported:

“When ER24 paramedics arrived we found two vehicles lying in the road, one person lay trapped in the vehicle who had already succumbed to his injuries, the women in the bakkie was treated for light injuries”

Meanwhile also in the Newcastle district of KwaZulu Natal three people were injured when a taxi lost control and left the road.

Russell Meiring said:

“It is understood that the taxi swerved to avoid rocks on the road and lost control of the vehicle”


Local authorities were on both scenes for further investigations.
