Most wanted suspect caught by Mtubatuba police

Kei Bridge Police arrested a 59-year-old woman for dealing in drugs.

The suspect was arrested on Monday afternoon at Jojweni location Khobodi Village near Kei Bridge Butterworth in the Eastern Cape.

Police Captain Jackson Manatha reported, that the female suspect was found in possession of tic, straws and foil with a street value of R4000.00.

The woman was arrested and charged with dealing in drugs.

The arrest comes as a result of police intelligence.

Meanwhile, yesterday Mtubatuba SAPS arrested a 23-year-old suspect wanted for business robberies and car hijackings in the area.

The suspect was arrested after he was linked by means of fingerprints to other housebreaking cases which occurred in the same area.

It is alleged that the suspect is also linked to a hijacking where the police officer was hijacked of a state vehicle in the area.

The arrested suspect will appear at the Mtubatuba Magistrates Court soon.

Major Thulani Zwane said the KwaZulu natal national Police Commisioner, Lieutenant General Mmamonnye Ngobeni commended the arrest.


“I would like to praise the Mtubatuba police for their efforts in tracing and arresting the suspect. We hope that the suspect will be prosecuted and sentenced accordingly.” General Ngobeni said.
