Premier Modise dismissed media reports

The office of the North West Premier Thandi Modise on Tuesday dismissed media reports that she will be recalled as malicious and baseless.

Spokesperson Lesiba Kgwele said the rumours are completely unfounded and can only be entertained by those who want to divert the premier’s attention from focusing on faster delivery and intensifying the fight against corruption and maladministration.

Kgwele said that premier Modise has been steadfast in cleaning out the province of corruption and it is therefore possible that the allegations are being spread by those people who are involved in corrupt activity.

“A rumour comes as no surprise as it has always been clear that there are people who are trying to discredit the premier to her efforts to rid the province of corruption and ensure that the provincial administration is transparent and efficient and delivers to the people of the North West Province,” added Kgwele.
