CWU: the strike is still on

The Communication Workers Union said it is shocked by the Minister of Telecommunications and Postal Services call to suspend the strike that has been going on in the South African Post Office, for almost two weeks. They have not called for any strike action.

CWU General Secretary Aubrey Tshabalala said we are shocked that they have undermined that process.

“We find ourselves in this situation where in fact a crisis has been expanded and deepened.

It makes it difficult to resolve the crises at post office. In our view this is not assisting but its discrediting the talks that are unfolding.” Tshabalala added.
