KwaZulu Natal Commissioner Mammonye Ngobeni has applauded Inanda Cluster Crime Intelligence for the swift arrest of four suspects, for being in possession of goods suspected to be stolen.
Police Spokesperson Jay Naicker said the
suspects were then placed under arrest and they led police to a house in Riverside where more goods
including bicycles, tools, taps, counterfeit cigarettes, and jewellery were
found.
Naicker said the members were following up
on an investigation regarding a string of housebreaking and theft that occurred
in the Greenwood Park area.
He said information led the police to the Durban city centre where they
spotted a truck loaded with various goods expected to be stolen.
"The four suspects were charged with goods
suspected to be stolen and will appear in the Durban Magistrate
Court on Monday” Naicker added.
