Fourteen injured in Amanzimtoti collision

Fourteen people sustained various injuries this afternoon when a taxi and a truck collided on the M35 near the N2 in Amanzimtoti.

Paramedics from ER24 that arrived on the scene found one person with serious injuries and the others with minor to moderate injuries.

All of the patients were treated on the scene and later transported to a nearby hospital for further medical management.

It is understood that the taxi and the truck collided partially head on with each other resulting in the passengers of the taxi to be flung forward. The driver of the truck was not injured in the incident.
