Netcare 911 paramedics
responded to an accident scene this morning after a heavy goods vehicle crashed
into the back of another vehicle resulting in one person tragically losing his
life.

Santi Steinmann said all the injured patients were treated on scene and
transported to various hospitals for further medical care.
Steinmann said upon assessment of the all the occupants of the vehicles
it was found that three people sustained serious injuries and three people
sustained moderate injuries. A few of the emergency personnel also sustained
injuries.
“All the injured patients were treated on scene and transported to
various hospitals for further medical care. Exact details surrounding the
accident will remain the subject of a police investigation Steinmann added.
