Police arrest three suspects in Mthatha

Eastern police arrested three people over the weekend for being in possession of two illegal firearms and a stolen vehicle in Mthatha.
 
The three are appearing in the Mthatha Magistrate Court today on charges of possession of illegal firearm and stolen vehicle. 
 
The suspects are believed to be linked to several robberies in the area. 
 
Police Spokesperson Mzukisi Fatyela said they were found in possession of two firearms, a 9mm pistol with live ammunition and a vehicle that had been stolen.
 
“The suspects are being linked to other cases where stolen vehicles have taken place and are set to appear in the Mthata magistrates court today Fatyela added.
