Two accidents has left two people dead and eleven injured

An accident on the N14 near Main Road in Diepsloot left one person dead and nine people injured. 

This is after a light delivery vehicle lost control and overturned.

Netcare 911 Spokesperson Santi Steinmann said upon paramedic’s arrival on scene they found a light delivery vehicle lost control and overturned.

Steinmann said after assessment of all the occupants it was found that a man tragically died, one man was found in a critical condition and eight people sustained serious injuries.

Steinmann said the critically injured man was airlifted to hospital for the urgent medical care that he required.

“The eight seriously injured patients were treated on scene and transported to hospital for further medical care Steinmann added.

Meanwhile in another accident a man in his twenties died and two other people were left injured after a taxi and a bakkie collided in Hammersdale road in KwaZulu Natal.

ER24 Spokesperson Russel Meiring said the Jaws of Life had to be used to free the driver of the taxi, who was trapped inside the vehicle.

Russel Meiring said the man, who was in his twenties, was confirmed dead at the scene.

Russel Meiring said the two people who were travelling in the bakkie sustained moderate injuries in the accident on Hammersdale road.

The exact details to the cause of the accident will remain the subject of a police investigation.
