Two-month-old Jashmea Albertus who was kidnapped on Wednesday was found on Thursday afternoon.

The baby was found in Goodhill, Wellington. A 17-year-old girl who was arrested by police is facing charges of kidnapping and is expected to appear in court soon.

Pink Ladies Dessie Rechner said that the accused allegedly took the child to the aunt around 4pm, however when the mom went to look for her she wasn’t there.

Rechner said that the very good and diligent work by the constable Wilskit found her in Heideveld and went to fetch her with the baby.

“The baby is safely back home and is unharmed, I must say that the good work by the SAPS all round and it makes for a quick find and if they can just have that every time we’ll get our babies back sooner,” added Rechner.
