SKA host nation to be announced next month

The decision on which country will win the bid to host the Square Kilometre Array telescope is held till the 4th of April.

South Africa is bidding against Australia to host the international mega telescope, which will be used to collect radio waves from space and explore the universe.

The Northern Cape has been set out as the province that the SKA will be situated at should South Africa win the bid.

The SKA has thousands of dish-shaped antennae spread over an area of over three-thousand-kilometres into neighbouring countries.
