National Sea Rescue Institute
along with WC government health EMS and ER24 paramedics responded to reports of
a body reported to be floating in the sea off-shore near Mossel Bay harbour.
NSRI Spokesperson Craig
Lambinon said on arrival on the scene an NSRI rescue swimmer and a local dive
company diver went in to the water recovered the body of the female.
He added that paramedics
conducted extensive Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation efforts but the female was declared
deceased.
Lambinon concluded by saying
that at this point they are not sure of the outcome but police are investigating
the circumstances sounding the female being in the water.
