Pedestrian knocked down

A pedestrian died after he was knocked down by a car on the M4, Durban bound, just after the Quality Street Bridge on Sunday evening.

“ER24 paramedics arrived on scene and found the man believed to be in his late 20’s early 30’s lying in the fast lane. Upon assessment paramedics found that he sustained multiple injuries.” ER24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing said.

“Sadly, the man had succumbed to his injuries. He was declared dead. The driver of the car was uninjured.”

The reasons behind the incident are unknown but local authorities were on scene to investigate.
