Alcohol abuse can not be fixed overnight

Non-Profit Organizations today said that there is no quick fix solution when looking at the realities of the Western Cape’s poor drinking culture.
More than 60 percent of the population drinks alcohol while one third abuses it.
The Western Cape was recorded as with the highest rate of alcohol abuse in South Africa.
Smart’s Sarah Fisher said that alcohol abuse is one of the biggest social ills.
Sarah Fisher added that it is unrealistic to think we are going to eradicate alcohol or drugs.
Sarah Fisher further said they are making strides in reducing the harms to society and individuals.
