The Mitchells Plain forensics team have returned to its offices yesterday.

The eviction occurred after the landlord locked them out because of unpaid rent.

The crime records office duty is to collect evidence from crime scenes.

The landlord claims neither the National Police nor Public Works Department has paid the rent for months.

Mark Wiley from the Democratic Alliance said local authorities had no say over lease agreements.
