A security tender worth R350 million is under scrutiny in the DA lead City of Cape Town.
The tender went out in March last year and was awarded to 22 companies in October last year.
There were four separate lists of successful bidders who were issued before the tender was cancelled, after unsuccessful bidders complained to council.
According to a report at least one of the successful bidders was not registered with the private security industry regulator.
In addition to this, two of the successful companies featured members from the same family.
