The Western Cape Education Department has urged all parents to enrol their children early for school for next year.
The first enrolment phase was started on Wednesday and will run up until June this year.
The WCED said this will give parents enough time to enrol their children for the coming school year.
Donald Grant MEC for education in the Western Cape’s spokesperson Bronagh Casey said this is also important for the department.
She added that each year, they stress the importance of enrolling children early, especially for parents whose children will enter grade one or grade eight.
Casey said this allows the school to plan for the year ahead.
