Government hopes to stablise the electricity network after the review process of the National Energy Regulator of South Africa.

The Government hopes that once South Africa’s energy needs and requirements are addressed the country will be able to move forward.

Acting Director-General Donald Liphoko said NERSA has again reiterated the key implementation requirements which are needed for the energy sector.

Liphoko said importantly NERSA has afforded everyone, stakeholder and members of the public alike, with the opportunity to participate in a public hearing during which citizens offer their comments and views on the Eskom application.

“This is in keeping with government’s commitment to the open, transparent and democratic society that we all envisioned at the start of our democracy” Liphoko concluded.
