The National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa said in a statement, a number of slanderous, malicious and libellous attacks have been rehashed against Numsa, its General Secretary Ivan Jim, and Cosatu’s General Secretary Zwelinzima Vavi by the SACP’s national chairperson Senzeni Zokwana and General Secretary Blade Nzimande.
This was over the past few days.

It was said during the South African Communist Party’s 3rd special national congress.

NUMSA’s National Spokesperson Castro Ngobese said they will also use their press conference to publicly communicate our mandated position in relation to COSATU’s special national congress.
