Today the son of Cape Judge President John Hlophe appeared in the Bellville Magistrates court on fraud charges.
Thuthuka Hlophe faces 14 charges after two were withdrawn.
Seated in the dock with his arms stretched out on top of the bench he appeared confident.
In a bid to proceed with the trial state decided not to add another charge.
Charge five was also withdrawn as the state could not trace the complainant.
