The University of Cape Town today said that there are no security concerns at the campus.

Last week a catering contractor was held up by two armed men.

The suspects allegedly made off with over R70,000 in cash and a BMW.

UCT's Mologadi Makwela said that they have a vast network of surveillance cameras on campus.

Makwela added that there are more CCTV cameras operating on campus than there are in the entire city of
Cape Town.

Makwela agreed that not every inch of the campus can be monitored.
