The Western Cape Health MEC Theuns Botha says that although the province does not support the National Health Insurance green paper in its current format, it does not mean the province will not participate in the NHI pilot projects.
Botha said that there are rumours circulating that the province will not participate in the projects.

Botha added that his office has not received anything from the national department in this regard and that they have certainly not declined to participate.
