SACTWU satisfied with the 2015 wage negotiation agreement

The Southern African Clothing and Textile Workers Union have expressed its satisfaction over the 2015 wage negotiations agreement reached.

The agreement was concluded with the Southern African Footwear and Leather Industries Association.

SACTWU’s Nazir Armoed said the increase that was arrived at was 7.5% across the board with an additional one day time off for shops with training and an entry fee of R14.75.

“It is an increase that we can live with, we would have loved for it to be better, but we are quite happy with it.” Armoed added.
