The Trauma Centre calls for a commission of inquiry into efforts to end gang violence in the Western Cape.
Gang violence is high in Manenberg and though a peace broker was called last week, past experiences show these deals do not hold for long.

The Trauma Centre calls for gang prevention and intervention.

Trauma Centre Executive Director Valdi Van Reenen-Le Roux said we had people in the Western Cape dying almost every day as a result to gang violence.

Van Reenen-Le Roux said we are saying that, it is within the society to look at what policies and what strategic plans are intact working to curb gang violence and eradicate gangs in our communities.

“It is time for us to come together and investigate what is working and what is not and we can only do that when we have a commission of inquiry that will look at the responses to gang prevention”.
