Unions who opposed the expulsion of the National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa and Zwelinzima Vavi has raised concern over reports of people being kicked out who speaks against Cosatu in next week’s national congress.

The special congress which starts on Monday will deal with the division within Cosatu.

General Secretary of the Food and Allied Workers Union Katishi Masemola said delegates that will attend the congress must be allowed to the right to speak, engage and debate.

“There should be no rules that will temper with those rights. We believe that the leadership of Cosatu will contribute in allowing a successful congress”.

That is all we are calling and pleading for, Masemola added.
