The African National Congress in the Western Cape is calling for Operation Fiela in gang stricken areas like Lavender Hill.

Operation Fiela was launched in April this year following a spate of xenophobic attacks in the country.

In a statement the ANC said it wants serious action to curb murders, rapists and robbers in the province.

ANC’s Cobus Grobler said “these murders must stop, therefore the ANC says, Operation Fiela’s team who’s doing so very well in other areas must also come to these areas to help to break the strong hold of these gangsters and drug dealers”.

Here in Lavender Hill and Parkwood we need Operation Fiela to come quick, Grobler added.
