Kulula airplane was forced to make an emergency landing at Lanseria airport in Johannesburg last night.
A crack in the windscreen of the Boeing 737 caused the pilots concern and the aircraft was escorted by emergency services as it landed.
Comair’s Heidi Brouwer says there was really nothing to worry about, but standard procedure was followed to ensure passenger safety.
Brouwer says the outer windscreen in the cockpit developed a crack, which was nothing dramatic or anything to worry about.
But the captain chose to, as a precautionary measure; call an emergency landing, which is standard procedure in a case like that.
