The DA’s leader Helen Zille praised and defended the country’s constitution.
Speaking at the party’s Gauteng Provincial congress in Pretoria, she said that the constitution protects its citizens from power abuse.
DA members are electing a provincial head to lead the opposition party in Gauteng.
Two people vying for the top job is MP Ian Ollis and John Moodey.
Zille and the DA will not allow the ANC to change the constitution.
