An accident on the N11 near Hendrina in Mpumalanga left eight people injured.

This is after the bakkie they were travelling in lost control and rolled.

ER24 Spokesperson Russel Meiring said on their arrival, they found the bakkie lying down a small embankment on the side of the road.

Meiring added that on assessment, paramedics found that eight occupants from the bakkie had sustained minor to serious injuries. Some of the occupants had been sitting in the back of the bakkie when it left the road.

“Paramedics set up a triage area and began treating the patients for their injuries, and providing the seriously injured patients with advanced life support. Once treated and immobilised, the patients were transported to a nearby hospital for further medical attention” Meiring added.
