Two Metro Police Officials aged 29 and 30-years-old appeared in the Pine Town Magistrate in KwaZulu Natal today on a corruption charge.

This is after they bribed a 64-year-old man of R2 000 or his vehicle would be impounded.

The Independent Police Investigative Directorate Acting National Spokesperson Grace Langa said they stopped a 64 year old man who was driving a forklift in Marianhill road.

“They stopped him and solicited a R2000 bribery. They made the arrangement to meet at a certain place so that he can pay them. The victim’s complainant called the Metro Police Management, who then reported the matter to IPID” Langa added.
