Metrorail announced that its
train service to Khayelitsha/Kapteinsklip/Sarepta area is fully functional and
operating to schedule since this morning.
The train service had to be
suspended for five days during the height of unrest related to service delivery
protests in Langa and replaced the limited service operated until Sunday past.
Regional manager Richard Walker
applauded technical staff who had worked around the clock to fix vital
equipment regulating the automated signalling system.
