Two children killed in pedestrian collision

Two young girls‚ believed to be both seven years old‚ were knocked over and killed by a car in Wedela Road in Carletonville west of Johannesburg this morning.

At 10:30am paramedics arrived on the scene where they found the lifeless bodies of the two young girls lying on the side of the road.

It is believed that a light motor vehicle collided with them shortly before crashing into a ditch on the side of the road.

The driver and passenger of the vehicle did not sustain any injuries. Police are investigating the case.
