Former South African Revenue Service commissioner, Oupa Magashula is seeking answers from the police and intelligence services regarding who was responsible for making the recording that cost him his job as taxman at SARS.

Magashula is determined to not leave the matter laying down after it was revealed that it was crime intelligence operatives, and not SARS’ investigations unit, who recorded him offering a young woman a job.

The recording, made in 2013, was leaked before his resignation.
