Three men on trial for a double murder and rape at Rhodes Park in Kensington last year will return to a High Court sitting in Palm Ridge today.

25 yr old Thabo Nkala, 23 yr old Admore Ndlovu,  and 32 year old Mduduzi Mathibela Lawrence, face charges of assault, robbery, rape, sexual assault and murder.

They are accused of being part of a 12-man gang that attacked two couples walking in the park on the evening of Saturday, October 17, 2015.

The couples were forced to lie on the ground, while being sexually assaulted.

Their partners were forced into the lake, where they drowned.

The gang allegedly stole their clothes, jewellery and cell phones.

The accused have pleaded not guilty to the charges.
