DA to protest against the capture of the SABC

03 October 2016

Democratic Alliance Leader Mmusi Maimane will lead activists on a protest at the SABC’s Auckland Park Headquarters.

The Spokesperson to the DA leader Mabine Seabe say that this follows the SABC’s disdain for a judgement of a court of law, the Public Protector and the people of South Africa.

Furthermore the SABC in the 2015/16 financial year ran at a loss of over R400 million, which cements the party’s view that the SABC Board not fit and proper.

It cannot be business as usual at the public broadcaster.

Maimane will be joined by Gauteng Provincial Leader, John Moodey MPL, Johannesburg Regional Chairperson, Khume Ramulifho MPL, and Herman Mashaba.
