A general assembly will take place today in a quest to solve tensions at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology, as management will address students.

Yesterday a stakeholder engagement meeting between alumni, the SRC and convocation members was disrupted when protestors stormed the venue.

Management hopes the assembly taking place today will help ease the unrest.

Fees related protests have prompted the management to call in the services of an interfaith mediation team.
