Scores of South African Revenue Service employees are expected to take part in the 'Walk-for-Tax' in Cape Town.

The aim is to raise awareness on tax requirements and the services of SARS.

The Cape Town leg is the sixth of the national initiative by SARS.

SARS spokesperson, Sandile Memela, says the walk symbolises their target of R1.175 trillion that SARS is expected to collect by the end of March 2017.

During the walk, employees will hand out useful information on tax to the public.
