Fourteen year old in critical condition after shootout

A 14-year-old boy was in serious condition after being shot in Broadlands, Strand, this morning.
He was treated for two gunshot wounds after an apparent shootout, said ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring.
 He was found lying on the sidewalk, surrounded by his father and bystanders.
He was taken to Tygerberg Hospital for urgent treatment.
Western Cape police confirmed a shooting took place this morning.
Police spokesperson Captain FC van Wyk said an attempted murder case was opened.
