Temporary closure of R27 West Coast Rd

The R27 West Coast Road from the Koeberg Station and R307 Atlantis intersection is temporarily closed after a truck crash earlier this morning.

Byron la Hoe, Communication Officer of the Department of Transport and Public Works, said “A stop and go operation will be in place until the road is clear.

Provincial traffic services are currently on the scene in redirecting traffic.

Motorists are advised to use the Mamre Rd or N7 through Atlantis as alternative routes.

The safety of road users is our highest priority. We expect the road to be reopened within the next two hours (15:00)”
