Decomposed body found in Diep River main road

A security guard made a gruesome discovery in Diep River when he discovered the body of a 48 year old Mitchell’s Plain man yesterday.

The body of Daniel Abraham Badenhorst was found inside his car on an open field near the Diep River main Road.

Badenhorst was reported missing on Wednesday. Police’s Keith Chandler says the body was already decomposed.

Chandler adds there were no visible injuries were noted on the body and the deceased was taken to Salt River Mortuary, where a full inquest examination will be done.

The inquest docket has been opened for investigation.
