Two Goodwood police have been arrested on charges of Corruption and Theft.
It is alleged that last week two constables arrested the complainant for drunk driving.
They then took his cellphone and bank card, and withdrew money from his account.
Police spokesperson Inspector Wayne Theunis says they arrested the two constables aged 30 and 35 the following day.
One office was arrested while on duty while the other one was arrested in his residence in Mfuleni.
Inspector Theunis adds they also found the stolen cellphone at one of their houses.
Both suspects are due to appear before the Magistrate on Corruption and theft charges.
