The Ministry for Women, Children and Persons with Disabilities says it will ensure that employers attain the two percent target employment target for disabled people in this financial year.
Minister Noluthando Mayende-Sibiya tabled the departments Budget Vote yesterday. She said the departments goal, will be prioritised and during the 2010/2011 financial year.
Mayende-Sibiya added that reaching the target will also be encouraged in the private sector.
Concerns were also raised around newly built or reconstructed stadiums that have failed to accommodate people with disabilities adequately.
