Two separate accidents left five people dead

An accident this morning in the Free State left four people dead and four others were left severally injured.

Netcare 911 Spokesperson Santi Steinmann said upon the arrival on scene they found that a mini bus had overturned as all the occupants were ejected as the taxi rolled over.

“Two adults tragically lost their lives while ten people including one child were injured. All injured patients were treated on scene and taken to to a nearby hospital for further care" Steinmann added.

Meanwhile in another accident also this morning ER24 paramedics attended to an accident scene in KwaZulu Natal whereby a man died after a hit and run incident.

ER24 Spokesperson Russel Meiring said upon the arrival on scene they found the dismembered body of the patient lying across the Highway.

“Paramedics and police officials had to close the road for an hour to clear the scene.The driver of that hit him was not found on the scene" Meiring added.
 
The exact details of the cause of the accident and proceeding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.

Two people have been arrested related to gunfire at a church in Khayelitsha

Over the weekend, police were performing stop-and-search operations in Harare when they heard gunshots and followed the sound to a church. ...
